We're Thinking About This All Wrong

I get questions like this all the time. And we're thinking about It ALL wrong!

I get the sentiment, but the goal should not be to never get sick. This would be more harmful to a child’s health. Instead, the goal should be to support the body while it heals. Because sickness WILL hit, and that’s a GOOD thing.

We Welcome Sickness in Our Home

When kids get sick (within reason), it helps train their immune system. Each illness teaches the body to recognize and fight germs while building immune memory. This helps create a stronger, more balanced immune response for the future.

"Hygiene Hypothesis"

There aren’t direct human studies comparing children who never get infections with those who do (for obvious ethical and practical reasons). But research on low-microbial-exposure environments gives us some clues.

“Hygiene Hypothesis”

Early exposure to microbes helps shape the developing immune system. Lower microbial exposure has been associated with higher rates of allergies, asthma, and other inflammatory conditions later in life.

When your child gets sick, pause before the panic. This is normal. This is good. Your job isn’t to eliminate every symptom, it’s to support the body while the immune system learns.

How to Support Illness?

That’s where I come in! I’ve designed my website so you can easily search any keyword, where we’ll walk through the purpose of symptoms and how to support without suppressing.

If you're reading this, you're already here. Head up to the top and find the search bar, and start searching what you need help In supporting! I got you! And my DMs are always open.
